Volunteer Bird Banding in Ecuador
Assist Dr. Dusti Becker with bird monitoring at Reserva las Tangaras in the biodiverse Ecuadorian Andes near the village of Mindo. Volunteers help set up mist nets, extract birds from nets, work at banding stations, and also help with bird surveys. The expedition includes training in bird banding and plenty of time to photograph and enjoy Choco endemics and as many as 25 different hummingbird species. Volunteers are needed for July and December monitoring, each year. Email Dr. Becker at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about the expeditions and how to apply for a team.
