Volunteer Bird Banding Training Experience in Ecuador
Join Dr. Dusti Becker and other avian scientists at Reserva las Tangaras in the biodiverse Ecuadorian Andes near Mindo. Learn to set up mist nets, extract birds from nets, record data at banding stations, and do bird surveys. Gain training in bird banding and enjoy plenty of time to photograph and enjoy more than 150 bird tropical species including > 20 different hummingbird and tanager species.
Your volunteer work contributes to a long-term avian monitoring project started in 2004. Email Dr. Becker at dustibecker@lifenetnature.org AND dustizuni@yahoo.com for more information about the expeditions and how to apply for a team.
